As we gone through many changes in our society, being ignorant is a sin. There are lot of things that we need to acquire, adapt and know. One of these is the changes in the development in our educational set-up or in the teaching-learning process.

Screen casting activity is a great help for the teachers and to the students. If the teacher is not around and there’s a need to cope with the topic, screen casting will be a helpful tool in imparting knowledge and information to the students. Doing such activity, I did a lot of research regarding the topic I’ve chosen – preparations like what to put on the slides and what other information I can add in order for the listeners or viewers to process the information thoroughly and will be able to acquire new learning. Technology today is undeniably a necessity to every existing individual. Screen casting helps me appreciate how great and intelligent innovators are.

Along with the advantages of the technologies, specifically the use of screen cast is its disadvantages - disadvantage in such a way that not all the time the internet will cooperate. There are lot of things that need considerations in using the screen cast. We need to consider the technological resources within the school or in the classroom if computers, projectors or speakers are available. Another thing is the consideration of the students’ learning styles since there are certain students who preferred to learn in an actual discussion or they want to see the physical appearance of the speaker. Also, using screen cast video in the teacher’s classroom instruction lessens the communication between the teacher and the students. If the students need to raise questions regarding the subject matter, they can’t, because they ace the computer, not the teacher.
